COACHES

Coach Dale Parker

Dale is a previous NCAA All-American swimmer from the University of Mary Washington. From 2001 to 2005, Dale also swam his way to the top of the Deaf world swimming rankings; during this time, he medaled one gold and bronze at Deaflympics. Before coaching DCAC, he spent a year as an assistant coach at UMW. Currently, he is a full-time graphic designer; he spends his own time as Director of United States Deaf Swimming and on deck with DCAC.

Coach Lisa Wolf

Lisa is a certified USA Swimming Coach and has a Level II certification with ASCA.  In addition to coaching with DCAC, she also coaches with the Montgomery Ancient Mariners.  She enjoys competing in local meets, open water swims and triathlons in her free time.

Coach Tammy Lowengrub

Tammy joins the DCAC coaching staff after spending two years coaching for the Curl-Burke Swim Club in Washington, DC.  She competed for NCAA Division III powerhouse Kenyon College, and is a USMS swimmer.

Coach Sam “Smeds” Smedinghoff

Sam, a past DCAC swimmer, is from Wheaton, Illinois, and graduated from Williams College in 2006, where he swam all 4 years.  When he's not coaching, Smeds teaches math at Emerson Prep in DuPont.  Hobbies include eating, sleeping, and yelling at students. (and maybe swimmers too!)
