Car (from D.C.)
Take 16th Street, 13th Street, or Georgia Avenue north toward Maryland. From any of these streets, turn right on Sheridan Street, NW. Turn left on to 3rd Street, NW, then go about one and a half blocks and then turn left again into the Takoma Rec. Center parking lot. The pool is the large building and the entrance is on the north side of the building.
Car (from Beltway)
Take Georgia Avenue/US 29 South, through Silver Spring, then left on Aspen Street, NW, just inside the District line. Turn right on Aspen Street, NW shortly before the Maryland line. Turn left on Sheridan Street, NW. Turn left on 3rd Street, NW, then go about one and a half blocks and then turn left again into the Takoma Rec. Center parking lot. The pool is the large building and the entrance is on the north side of the building.
Metro
Take the Red Line to Takoma Station. After exiting the station, walk under the railroad tracks on Cedar Street into DC. Turn left and walk down 4th Street, NW. 4th Street ends a few blocks later at the recreation complex. The pool is the large building directly behind a smaller brick building. Distance from the Metro: 0.4 miles. Please use common sense when walking at night. About a ten minute walk from the metro.

Marie Reed Learning Center

Within easy walking distance of Dupont Circle. The Learning Center is a sprawling building with its main entrance off 18th Street, north of California. The pool entrance – which has only one small sign – is in the back of the building. Go up Champlain Street, north of Florida Avenue and the pool entrance is on the left in the first building. Please exercise common sense at night when walking at night and do not leave valuables in your car in plain view.
From Dupont Circle Metro/Downtown
North on Connecticut Ave, 19th or 18th Street. Turn right onto Florida Ave., then left onto Ontario Road (at the Security Storage building). Take the first left on Old Morgan School Lane. The pool entrance is at the bend in the road, which usually has plentiful street parking. About a 15 minute walk from the Dupont Circle Metro.

The pool is at the corner of Takoma Avenue and Fenton Street in Falcon Hall, lower level. From front entrance, go downstairs and through the locker rooms to reach the pool. Park on Takoma Avenue; the parking lot is for faculty only and the college security has been known to issue tickets even on Saturday mornings.
Car (from D.C.)
Take 16th Street, 13th Street or Georgia Avenue north, and turn right on Aspen Street, NW (just before Walter Reed Army Medical Center). Turn left on Piney Branch Road. After about ½ mile, and just after the train over-pass, turn left on Eastern Avenue, NW which becomes Takoma Avenue. The pool is at Fenton Street/Albany Avenue.
Car (from the Capital Beltway)
Take Georgia Avenue/US 29 South, through Silver Spring. Turn left at Sligo Avenue, Rt. 410, then right onto Fenton Street. Follow Fenton Street a few blocks to Montgomery College’s small campus, which will be on the left. The pool is in Falcon Hall, the last building on your left, at intersection of Fenton Street and Takoma Avenue.
Metro
Take the Red Line to Takoma Station. When exiting the station, turn left and walk along the bus lane (with the bus shelters). At the end of the Metro lot, turn left onto Eastern Avenue, and walk about ¾ mile to Montgomery College, You’ll cross Piney Branch Road (at which point Eastern Avenue becomes Takoma Avenue) then pass Jecquie Park on the right. Falcon Hall is on the far side of the park, at intersection of Takoma and Fenton Street/Albany Avenue. Allow 15-20 minutes to walk.

Car (from DC)
Take E Street, Constitution Avenue, Rock Creek Parkway or Key Bridge/Lee Highway to get onto I-66 Westbound. Exit at Glebe Road. Turn Right on North Glebe Road (northbound). Take your first right on 15th Street, North. Continue until the street ends at North Quincy Street. Turn Right (southbound) over I-66 and Washington & Lee High School is directly on your right. The pool is the southernmost structure that is next to the street. You can park in the parking lot next to North Quincy Street.
Metro
Take the Orange line and exit at Virginia Square/GMU and walk west on North Fairfax Drive until you reach North Quincy Street (about 3 blocks). Alternatively you can exit at Ballston Station and walk east on North Fairfax Drive until you reach North Quincy Street (about 3 blocks). Go north on North Quincy Street (turning right if you are coming from Virginia Square/GMU or left if you are coming from Ballston) four blocks until you reach the school which is on your left. The pool is the first building (southernmost).

Car (from D.C./MD)
Take 9th Street, NW south to I-395. Take I-395 South toward the Francis Case Memorial Bridge. Stay in right lane and exit at East Potomac Park (right before you cross the river). The off-ramp will loop you around to Ohio Drive, SW. Turn right on Ohio Drive, and continue for about 1 mile.
Or take 15th Street, NW south. Turn left as 15th Street ends at Maine Avenue, SW at the Tidal Basin. Immediately turn right on East Basin Drive, SW toward the Jefferson Memorial. Then take the first left on Ohio Drive, SW towards East Potomac Park and continue for about 1 mile.
The pool is on your right between the East Potomac Golf Shop/Snack Bar and the Potomac Park Police Building. There is a large parking lot in front of the Golf Shop. Walk around to the left of the Golf Shop; there is a small side gate which leads on to the pool deck. This is where the teams usually meets. The main entrance to the pool is usually locked.
Car (from Virginia)
Take I-395 North across the 14th Street Bridge, stay to your right. Take the first exit to East Potomac Park. The off-ramp will lead you to Buckeye Drive, SW. Turn left and go about 0.2 miles to Ohio Drive, SW. Turn right on Ohio, go about 0.8 miles (see above).
Metro
Not immediately Metro-accessible. If you wish to do the approximately 2-mile plus walk, take the Blue/Orange line to the Smithsonian station. Exit through the Independence Avenue escalator and turn left on Independence. Walk two blocks and turn left on Raoul Wallenberg Place (15th Street, SW). See the directions above from 15th Street, NW. Allow at least a half hour to get to the pool.
